Default Pudding rice

Does anybody know how to cook it?

Bought some today but on the back it only tells you how to cook it when making rice pudding, which isn't what i want to do!

Do i just put it in the oven with water instead?

Thanks!

I want to cook the rice and then mix it in with vanilla yoghurt, its a healthy version of a rice pudding basically.

The recipe on the back wants me to cook it as if im making rice pudding which means cooking it in milk, but i want to avoid using milk if possible?

i would say you can cook it the same, in the oven with the same amount of liquid it states. Just use water instead of milk.

Just won't taste of much

i think you can boil it on the hob with water babe, i think you only need to cook it in the oven when you make rice pudding so the milk doesn't burn

ahh thanks, would rather do it on the hob than oven, any idea how long it will take? Says 2 hours in the oven, If the hob doesn't work i'll try it in the oven with water.

Replace the milk with water and cook on hob and just keep checking for when the rice is cooked. Alternatively cook like it says on the pack with skimmed milk?? FYI I often make rice pudding for Oliver and i buy the flaked rice from sainsburys which cooks much quicker than regular pudding rice. x
