Default recipes with cheese sauce

hello further to mrsharvey's thread on cheese sauce, does anyone have any suggestions what uses i can make of cheese sauce other than in fish pie and mixing with steamed veg and pasta.

i have at long last made a batch and freezed a few pots. all i need now is some imaginative uses.

oh - can i use the cheese sauce in a lasagne? is it the same stuff or is that something else? also could i give lasagne to my 9 month son - no salt option?

thank you

I use cheese sauce in my lasagne as I like it really cheesy. My LO has been eating it since he was on lumpy foods so I'm sure your 9 month old would be fine with it.

Other dishes I use it for
Macaroni cheese or macaroni and ham with cheese
Cauliflower cheese
Cheesy potato gratin - just slice some cooked spuds into a dish, cover with cheese sauce and put under the grill till bubbling
Poured over some steamed fish
Sutffed pancakes with cheese sauce. I just use a spagbol type mix or one with peppers, onions courgettes and tomatoes spoon onto the middle of a pancake, rool them up or fold them up, place in a dish pour over cheese sauce and top with grated cheese. Bake for 20-30 mins.

Yup IN lasanga its called Bechemal which is a white sauce.

BUt cheese sauce works...

I would also use it for:

Cheesy spinach to spread over toast
Cheese Pasta
Any meat with cheese and mash

I use cheese sauce to bump up my LOs milk intake for the day He loves cheese sauce.

I use it as a dipping sauce too for breads, and meat and veggies he LOVES it!

I still make up a few dinners to freeze for Rhys in case we're going to have something he wont eat or is unsuitable for him and use cheese sauce to mix together cooked chicken with peas and chopped mushroms or chopped carrots and broccoli. I then usu serve this with mashed potato or pasta.
