Reducing salt in our Eat Fussy meals

Due to recent press coverage, we would like to reassure our customers that we will be looking at reducing the salt content of Eat Fussy meals. The main reason for the salt content is that salt is found in some of the ingredients we use, notably cheese, tomato paste and stock. You can rest assured that these salt levels are well within strict nutritional guidelines for children aged 1 to 4 years and we use the highest-quality, additive-free ingredients.

We have already redeveloped Eat Fussy recipes by replacing the small amount of sugar with fruit juice, and our aim to reduce salt is a continuation of what we have been doing.

Finding that balance between low salt and great taste is not as easy as it sounds and it does take time to develop. There is little point in making a bland meal that children will not eat. Admittedly the labelling is unclear and we are changing this so that Mum knows how much to give to their young toddler as part of a balanced diet.

We have listened to all your feedback and we want to reassure you that we do care. We are here to help busy Mums and fussy eaters.
