Boiled runny egg and soldiers, i used to love this as a LO - when can we give them runny egg? Anyone? Jules??

i still haven't yet, but Freddie can feed himself pretty well now, so i'm sure he'd love them. any idea anyone??

I read somewhere that it's ok to give a hard boiled yolk to a baby from about 6/7 months but not the whites until their over the age of one

from 6 months should be fine just make sure its cooked! runny but not snotty Freddie used to love egg and soldiers when he was a tiddler )

The recommendation is that you cook both the white and yolk until they are solid, but thats the recommendation for anyone.

As Elani is over a year old, as long as the white is cooked thoroughly surrounding the yolk and the yolk is cooked and as Inz007 has said not snotty, I would say it's fine and ive given Lauren eggs like this although she didn't eat it

My midwife told me that the new advice about eggs is that they are fine as long as they are red lion stamped because the chickens are vaccinated against salmenella (sp?) so i guess the advice would be same for an infant as a pregnant woman?
