Question freezing/cooking chicken balls

I'm hoping to try out Annabel's recipe for Chicken Balls from her Baby & Toddler book. I plan to freeze them raw but I'm wondering do I have to defrost them before cooking or can I just take them straight from the freezer into the oven/grill? I've always thought that you can't take raw frozen chicken and cook without defrosting but I'm getting confused because surely that's what you do with shop-bought chicken nuggets?

I make these a lot for Finlay and I freeze raw, take out and defrost at room temp, coat in flour then shallow fry. I have never cooked them from frozen, I don't feel comfortable doing that with chicken but that's just my opinion on it xx
