Question Aspartame or sugar?

Which is worse?

Am looking at dilute-to-taste juice. The NAS stuff all has aspartame in it, which I've heard is carcenogenic (sp?) and the other stuff is full of sugar.

Which would you choose?

Don't say water, lol...

We go for sugar every time, aspartame is bloody horrible stuff, linked to brain tumours in children, should be banned imo

Sugar all the way.

Aspartame is awful stuff, I agree with B&B mum it should be banned from kids drinks.

I still don't let Isabella have squash as I know once we start she'll want it everywhere and softplay centres are an aspartame nightmare.

Fresh fruit juice watered down not an option still?

Bella's neurologist hates it, I really do think it should be banned from kiddies drinks, or have one of those smoking kills stylee labels on it Although the wine and beer has gone to my head this evening xxx

Enjoy the booze Charlotte! I'm off to bed. Interesting that Bella's neurologist feels the same way. I have an aversion to unneccesary chemical additives in kids food and aspartame is my pet hate.

I'd go for sugar any day.

When Mr H's mum was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (primary agressive cancerous tumours) we did some research into aspartame as she had been using aspartame sweetners in her drinks several times a day instead of sugar for many many years.

We'll never know what caused them, but there is always the niggling thought that there is a link with aspartame.

I'm not saying we never have anything with aspartame in but we avoid it in drinks if we can.

Oh my gosh I have never heard of this stuff before now... Frightening, I will certainly be looking for it now. Thanks for making us who are not so 'up with it' people aware! Really appreciated x

Have found some squash from SAINSBURYS with no aspartame. result. she's getting a bit bored of fresh juice watered down. i make it stronger for her, but she still drinks much more fluids when it's sweeter (obviously...) We had a problem a wee while back there when she wasn't drinking much at all, which is why I looked at other options x
