Default Keeping Fod Hot when you are out and about

I have one but then I designed it ! Its great for keeping your baby's food hot and so many mums find that they cant get food heated when they are out and about. They are also good for older children if they want to take something hot in their lunchbox.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who has bought one what they think..

Annabel x

Default AK Food Flask ??

Hi Annabel,

Thanks for your reply!

Ive just bought your food flask today in Mothercare in Slough, Bucks.

Cant wait to use it, typical example today we went out for dinner, and I had made some food for my baby, I asked the waiter to bring me some hot water to warm it up a bit. I must of waited 20 minutes for my food to get even close to being warm so im realy excited to test this out really soon.

Will let you know my outcome very shortly....

Take Care,

Love Charlotte x

Default Undecided about flask

Hi there

I bought one of these recently and the first couple of attempts to use it were unsuccessful as the food was too cold after only an hour and a half. I started heating the food up to a temperature much hotter than needed and warming the flask with hot water before hand and that has improved things but find the the food quite tricky to get out of the narrow opening. The spoon that fits in the flask is very handy though. Any tips on optimum use much appreciated, am not sure if I am going to take it back to Mothercare or not yet, as the food doesn't seem to stay hot enough.

Default Ak flask

Hello all,
I bought one of the AK flasks about 3 weeks ago, after a couple of restaurants where we went for lunch refused to heat up my baby's food( one of them told me they were worried about the microwave blowing up!!)

So far it has been really useful, I prepare his food in the usual way and take it with wherever we go without worrying about anything. What I have found though, is that food is never as hot as it was when I poured it in , it seems to loose heat. I think that maybe the lid doesn't close properly but I donīt know for sure.
Anyway, good buy in general. I'd recommend it.

Lol one refused to heat our food up because they didn't want to scald her with it being too hot... I said don't you think I test it and make sure the temperature is right before I feed it to her?! D'uh! Lol

i used the flask today for the first time and i have to say i was VERY disappointed....the food was cold and had only been in there at the most 2.5 hours...i heated the flask with boiling water 1st and heated the food ALOT hotter than usual and it was still cold...the flask was not cheap so i expected it to work!!!! x

Oh no Wickypop

I was thinking about this earlier as we had a planned powercut from 7am so I got up at 6.30am, filled the bath with hot water, filled a huge pan and a thermos and then went back to bed.

We got up at 9am had breakfast and a hot cuppa, a nice bath (had to put cold in, water was still sooo hot) and washed pots using hot water in pan.

Then neighbour came round at 12pm and water in flask was still hot enough for tea! Was very impressed with my thermos. After all that turns out other side of street are on a different circuit and they had power all along. We could have just used his kettle lmao
