Default Food strike

Hello,

My Ben - 16 months - has been eating well, but now since two weeks he is eating nothing! He had an cold and an earinfection so that is the reason he started to be fussy. The cold and infection are gone but he is still terrible with eating. Or he eats nothing at all, or just those fruitpouches, 5 baby spoons of soup or 5 bites of pasta. Everything else, even his normal favourits, like grapes and fromage frais, he refuses to eat.I have not given him alternatives or so, and he hasn't woken up during the night.
But, at the nursery where he goes two days a week, he had a LARGE portion of the meals. Also when we were out with an other toddler he ate the whole plate...also pasta.

So, is there any advice I could do??
bye,charlotte

I would carry on giving his favourate foods and make up a story to go with it like when Katlin wont eat food I tell her it is what princesses eat and if she wants too be a princess then she must eat it too. I never seen someone eat there food so quickly also I make up foods like in our house radishes are magic carrots because if we told her the true word she would not eat them sounds stupid but works obviosuly your little is a boy so maybe try superhero instead of princesses

16 mths is hard to try and bribe i found with my son at the time ... if he wasn't interested that was it ... and when they have sick it takes a while for them to get back to the norm .. give him time and just offer what you do and if you feel u need alternatives try and stick to healthy stuff like cheese sticks and fruit.
maybe do a fruit kebab ... on it put piece strawberry, followed by cheese, kiwi, piece of cheese, another strawberry? so he's still getting vitamins in something that looks more exciting .. i find as they get that bit older they start to test and pick and choose it is not easy .. when u think you have it down pat ... they test you in another way ....
