Default what to do???

Mia is being extremely fussy atm with foods, she'll eat anything sweet but is totally off her lunch & dinner unless it's chips or buttered bread or porridge!!! do you think it's worth me giving her formula milk in the evening until she's back to 'normal' with her eating??

Hi
I know how frustrating this is. Jack can be so fussy and I'm sure would be quite happy to live on toast and peanut butter! Just keep trying. Jack has been unwell recently and was eating nothing, was actually losing weight ten one day woke up starving and ate like a horse. He even ate a piece of chicken (unheard of ) and tried a baby tomato of his own choice although i think he thought it was an easter egg as he was saying 'eeeg eeeg' and after a few bites changed his mind. This did demonstrate that this fussiness is just a stage and he will grow out of it. Don't worry too much about her eating little, it could be totally different next week and she will eat loads

Hi, I have to admit if evie is going through a 'fussy' stage and i dont think she is getting enough in the day i do give her cow and gate number 4 formula at bed time (she is 18 months old!!) Probably shouldnt but i feel happier knowing she has a bit of something extra inside her at bedtime. hope this helps. x

Hey Bubba
they all get their moods with food, but if it were Tilly, as it has been before, I would not give her formula - you just have to get through it. let her eat what she wants, so long as she is eating. tilly went for a few days of only eating yoghurts, but didn't make (too much) fuss and she got back to normal soon enough.
can you maybe make something like porridge with banana and maple syrup so nice and sweet for a sort of supper? noo rules about it only being for brekkie. bet you can think of loads of things she likes and just shift the day about a bit - toast and jam... does she like cheese? maybe give her cheese and biscuits (like rich tea or something a bit sweeter than a cracker)
or make a chicken casserole with sweet potato and apricot in it so swetter than usual.
will try and think of other things too
keep smiling honey
xx
