Default Uh-oh is this the start?

Isabelle has recently thrown a couple of tantrums at teatime, about 3 times in the last 5 days. It's food that she has eaten before and loved. Could this be the start of her fussy eating/controlling phase? Tonight I just took her out of her highchair, put her on the floor and let her get on with it. Did I do the right thing?

I've left her tea on the small table where she can get to it if she wants it. The little madam is eating perfectly at nusery!! She had her MMR jab on Tuesday but given that she's eating well at nursery I don't think it is that.

This motherhood game is a real teaser isn't it, just as you think things are going well......

Teeheee...good luck..and welcome to the club. Just remember one fo these days (like in 15 or sixteen years) you will be wishing you still had this to worry about. The controlling phase just moves from food onto other move worrisome things. *sighs as she falls into a daydream about the yesteryears...)

Thanks Susie,

I had already looked at the thread, it's really all about consistency isn't it! Almost as soon as I'd written my initial post Isabelle started to pick at her dinner on the table! Little minx.

Will just stay calm and consistent from here on.....

best of luck. Freddie started with refusing foods that he loved. i just left him too it. he stills pushing food away now (if he's in a strop), i force a small spoonful in & then as soon as hes tasted it, he forgets his strop & tucks into the meal. the do stay not to force feed, but this little trick always works with Freddie, as i know he's not fussy, just being moody. good luck, it is really tough & takes lots of patience & understanding (neither of which i have much of these days!). you are not alone. hugs xx
