Default Changing a 5year olds diet

Hi, I am looking for tips on how to change my daughters diet. She has always been a very fussy eater and she is stuck in a rut with her diet. She does eat some fruit and vegetables and will even eat sardines, which I try to give her once a week, however for the rest of the time it is mainly processed food that she eats. I want to try and cut this out altogether, but she is very stubborn at trying new foods. Even when I do get her to try things after one mouthful she will say she doesn't like it.
Should I just stop giving her this food or do it step by step and introduce new foods one at a time?
We are going to Florida in 3 weeks and I don't want her to just eat chicken nuggets and chips for 2 weeks solid!

Hiya - welcome to the site!
my daughter is a lot younger so can't be full help, though she is a fussy eater too!
I have got a copy of AKs fussy eaters booka nd one of the best ones for veg is to make a 'hidden veg' sauce - to go with pasta/ meat/ fish - anything you like!Is basically a ragu but with loads of veg cooked in it then blended so looks like tomato pasta sauce, but has 'hidden' veg.
Take a look through the fussy eater recipes on the site too.
I would personally go for it one by one - so one new meal aday and see how that goes.
You could always make your own chicken nuggets if you have time, then you know what is in it. again in AK's fussy eater book. Take a look through it next time you are in a book shop - I thoroughly recommend it.
and good luck xx

Hi, I was just wondering about whether she's ever helped you cook? Is she likely to eat what she's helped you make?
