chicken pox spots in mouth - help!

Not so much eat fussy, but could not think where else to postthis.
Tilly has chicken pox and she has those awful blisters inside her mouth.
What can I offer her to eat, as am struggling to get her to eat anything - all she ate today were petit filous (breakfast and lunch) and was obviously so hungry by tea time that I got her to eat some beans - but poor thing cried while eating and had to keep having cuddle breaks.

below are the things I tried with her today that did not work:
weetabix
cheerios
buttered toast (and not buttered)
ham sandwich
bread, on its own
fruit puree pot
pasta with hidden veg sauce

Any suggestions welcomed.

oh bless her!
is she drinking? perhaps lots of milk instead?
what about bonjela? can that be used?

i would imgaine cold bland soft foods.... hmmm ice cream?
what about scrambled egg?
frozen fruit to suck on?
rusks? (JM can always eat these!!)

Ice lollies and after her mouth is numb from the cold maybe she'll eat something else. ALso try giving her calpol an hour beofre meals-may help with the pain so she may eat better.

As long as she is drinking not too worried about her not eating for a few days.

My doctor has always told me with both the boys when they are ill let them eat what they want. so if it is petit filous then just let her have it! as long as when she is better you get back on track!

Susie's ice lolly suggestion is fab, i always give ice lolly's to brad when he has a temperature!

But like the others have said, as long as she is drinking try not to worry!

Just a thought, what about soup?

thanks guys - will try giving calpol anhour before lunch and maybe a nice ice lolly too - I have some mango puree ones in the freezer so will give it a go.
not overly worried about her not eating, just that she cries as is obviously hungry, just can't get food into tummy without her mouth hurting.

managed to get her to have very runny weetabix with warm milk earlier and no fruit or anything added to it so bland and milky. took a while but we managed. and yes, am giving her more milk than usual and trying to get her her drink more water too to keep up fluids.

Just had a very funny moment, she is having nappy off time to help dry out spots on her girl bits, and my OH forgother nappy was off and picked her up for cuddle, and she peed on him - PMSL! Such a special moment to tell her when she is older!

Have you tried cold fresh fruit milkshakes for her?

no- hadn't though of that one - good idea
now all i need is some fresh fruit!
having trouble leaving her to go get shopping done - she is being a mummy's girl - and i am letting her!

will buy some and try
