Eat Fussy Range - Spaghetti and Meatballs
First of all - got to say my 21 month old daughter loves this meal, and never fails to finish it!
However, she had it last week and got some of the sauce up the arm of her top. I washed the top that evening, with a bit of vanish spray, but it has not shifted it at all, I have washed it a second time and the stain is still very much there.
Any suggestions? It wasn't the most expensive of tops, but it was quite new, so I would like to get it back to it's strain-free state!!!!!
HEEEEELP, thanks, lxxxx

Stain Removal for Tomato Sauce
From Sarah Aguirre,
Your Guide to Housekeeping.
Stain Removal Step 1.
Remove as much of the excess tomato sauce as possible from the fabric.
Stain Removal Step 2.
Run cold water through the back of the stain as quickly as possible. This will force the stain back out through the fabric.
Stain Removal Step 3.
Rub a liquid detergent into the stained portion of the fabric. Work it in gently.
Stain Removal Step 4.
If the garment is white, or you have tested it for colorfastness, apply a mild bleaching agent like hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar with a sponge. You can also use lemon juice on white fabrics. Rinse well.
Stain Removal Step 5.
Repeat with detergent followed by mild bleaching agent until the stain no longer appears.
Stain Removal Step 6.
Apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray and allow it to sit for at least 5 minutes.
Stain Removal Step 7.
Launder with detergent. Before drying double check the stain.
Stain Removal Step 8.
If the stain remains, rub detergent into the stain and soak in warm water for 30 minutes. Rinse well.
Stain Removal Step 9.
If the stain remains, apply stain remover stick, gel, or spray and launder according to directions.

Removing Tomato-Based Stains--Treat all tomato-based stains the same. First, flush stains well with cool water. Apply the water to the back of the fabric, like with all stains. That will probably not get rid of all of the stain, so pour some undiluted white vinegar onto the stain and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, and see if that will take the stain out. Flush it with water again. If that doesn't work, apply the Wine Away Red Wine Stain Remover before you put it in the washing machine. If you do not have the stain remover, a pre-wash is also good to use.
Note: After you have washed your napkins or linens and the stain is not out, do not put it in the dryer because drying will set the stain.

If there is ever any stain-best to google it right away-cause lots of stains need immediate treatment.
Also do not ever dry anything with a stain in the dryer till stain comes out cause drying sets the stain.

And if all else fails-use the shirt for dirty activities or as pj's under a sleeper.

Well, I had to admit defeat and I have binned it The stain is still as bright as ever, such as shame as it was a pretty top!
Thanks for your suggestions, I have printed this out, so I know what to do straight away next time

putting some neat fairy liquid onto the stain before going in the machine usually works for me, if not the first time I usually do it a second. Although I did go overboard with it once and put a few bits in with it on and ended up with bubbles coming out the machine
