Default Stepmum needs help with fussy eater

Hello,

Would be very grateful for any help or advice you can give as I'm new to this!

I have two fantastic step children who come and stay every second weekend. Unfortunately, although the six year old girl will eat anything and everything ... her eight year old brother will literally only eat: potato, white fish and chicken. That's it ... nothing else on a sensible food front. For snacks and treats he likes salted popcorn, crisps and the odd biscuit.

How can I go about extending his food (he seems to be quite scared of new food) without seeming like the wicked step mother.

As I understand he takes a daily calcium supplement as he does not have any diary.

All advice and reading material would be gratefully received.

Hee hee I have a 9 year old fussy eating step son who can be a nightmare...... I bought the fussy eaters AK book and did a few things from there, there is even healthy burgers and things.. which he loves. He also told me he didnt like pasta or tom sauce but one night ate swedish meatballs in homemade tom sauce with pasta (??) and also the hidden veg lasagne.. he couldnt get enough of it. Its a really good book you should but it, it gives loads of good ideas and ther is a fish section to if he really wouldnt eat anything new.
I make my own chicken nuggets there is a recipie for this in the your recipies forum... step son thinks they are better than mcd's so cant be bad!
hope this helps!
