Default How do I get an almost 4 year old to eat his vegetables?

He used to eat everything all the way through to being 2 years old, but he has just got worse and worse, I don't let him have anything else unless he eats his vegetables and I tried cutting out his afternoon snack, bringing dinner forward, he eats the same as us, with us, at the table, no tv; even if he eats it one day and wolfs it down it doesn't mean he will eat it the next day, I am at a loss, help and advice pretty pretty please..........................

Will he not eat any veggies at all? Not even sweetcorn or peas?

As Rhianwen said you could just try and disguise them, blitz them and add to a tomato sauce, chop up really small and add to an omelette or failing that just make sure he eats loads of different fruits.

Or try courgette or sweetcorn fritters???

That's the problem, I can't force him but I'm sure at times it's more a battle of wills than anything else, I do hide them in sauces and he eats vegetable soup but I want him to just eat the vegetables, arrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! xxx

I agree, just persevere, I know it's frustrating for you but the old thing of the more you push the more they'll do the opposite just to get at you. Just offer them, but don't fuss about it and he'll soon start eating them again. I agree though, don't reward with other things after his main meal or he'll think he's won and doesn't have to eat them full stop. Hope it gets better for you xxxxxxx
