Do you let your LO key in the numbers at the cashpoint when you are getting cash??

I let my 3 and half year old key in the numbers if he is with me and no one else about or behind in a queue. (And no he won't have unsupervised access to my card).

thanks in advance

Teenage babysitters

We rely on our parents for babysitting duties whilst myself and hubby are at work. Also, with Ruby starting school they will be helping out with some pickups.

When it comes to nights out we feel really cheeky asking parents as they help so much in the week but we've had quite a few "couply" events lately such as weddings etc.

My ex next door neighbour has just mentioned that her 16 yr old daughter is trying to raise money for 2 trips for her A'levels and would be interested in babysitting. She is a responsible teen and I would feel comfortable leaving the girls with her.

My question is, do you use teenage babysitters and how much do you pay them? Do u pay them by the hour or for the full evening. Also, do you pay their taxi fayre on top?

Cheers

to those with 2 or more kids; do you cater for their different likes and dislikes with regards to food? I mean if one kid likes a meal but the other doesnt do you make different things for them?

my 2 are starting to have quite different likes and dislikes to meals, so when I make something and one of them usually doesn't like it my OH gets annoyed and says things like "they should take what they're given!!" and this winds me up cause I know now that Dylan just doesn't like certain meals, and we automatically avoid the things that Imogen doesn't like cause she just cant handle something she has an aversion to, but this means that its Dylan that has to "like it or lump it" as my OH puts it.

Would you make different things for them? Its not mega often this happens though so I don't see a problem, but OH says I'm spoiling Dylan!

Hope everyone is well. Going to have a catch up and see what i've missed. We had a fab time back home but as usual it goes by too quickly. Baby is moving lots and we watch my belly of a night instead of the TV! Loving it. We had a bit of a nightmare journey back as Oliver started throwing up at the airport all of a sudden & we almost missed our flight! It was a 24 hr bug but thankfully he is over it now. x

hi, i am looking for some advice please. Robyn had her booster jags exactly 2 weeks ago for mmr, dtp and hib. I cant remember what the nurse said about the side effects. Today Robyn has had a runny nose, cough, sore throat, temperature, sore arms and legs and general listlessness. Could this be a side effect of the jabs or maybe a bug? advice most welcome, thanks xx

We've been in all day today so far, just pottering. Finlay's been playing quite nicely whilst I got on with a bit of packing. Anyway, he's now getting bored but I'm still not feeling 100% at all and now having done bits this morning I have completely run out of energy. I know we should probably at least go for a walk to get out in the fresh air and I'm hoping soon I'll have the energy to do that cos I'm feeling really guilty that we're not doing anything.

Just got me thinking, do you try to go out and do something with your LO's every day or do you have days where you're home all day? We've rarely ever stayed in all day, so think that's why I'm feeling a bit guilty, especially as I can see how bored Finlay is, being ill and having children to entertain is so hard :(

Hello,

The time has now come for me to start selling off my baby stuff on Ebay. I have sold several items and all of the buyers have paid except one. I have invoiced this person (after 24 hours) and then sent a polite email/message via Ebay after I still heard nothing.

Is it normal for people not to pay straight away? How long do you normally leave it before taking further steps e.g. offering it to the next highest bidder or re-listing it?

Also, one person bought an item on a buy it now and paid but we've heard nothing since re: collection. again we have sent messages but heard nothing (I'm hoping that they are just on holiday!).

Any help on this would be massively appreciated.

Thank you

Kathryn
