Default Exercise!

Have 0.5ww points left for today and if R goes to sleep was going to do some step whislt Ugly Betty is on to increase metabolism and to earn myself some extra points to have on Saturday if friends come over!

Anyone else on exercising to lose weight rather than because they want to be fit and enjoy exercise? I know I dont have the right attitude! I like swimming but its too cold to go in the evenings when DH comes home!

Was going to put "what sort of exercise do you lot all do?" but realsied there'd be a right few crude replies!

I did think that it might be my salvation - exercise that is! I have joined my not so local gym, I will try to go 3 times a week, 3 times do the gym and at least twice to play squash.

Exercise does energise you though, I come back from 2 hours at the gym and immediately start to throw myself into housework you just seem to be on a real buzz afterwards. I know that self exercise isn't gonna work, I might put the Davina on occasionaly but I will generally find something else to do instead.....

Personally, I'm NOT a gym kind of gal. For years I toyed with the idea of joining one, but realized that it would be a complete waste of money for me. Not knocking them, but they aren't for everyone.

I personally prefer to exercise at home and outside. I love going for walks, but with little kids, I don't get many opportunities for as much walking as I would like. I use exercise DVDs to get me going. I taped a bunch of exercise shows from the tv a few years ago and came to the realization that I HATE aerobics with correography! I am always tripping over my feet. I much prefer more repetitive workouts or interval training (where you do short bursts of fast exercise and then have active rest periods in between).

I have been using exercise for my current weight loss plan (along with cutting out snacking and such). I have been doing a lot of weight exercises, some interval training, that kind of thing. Even doing squats and arm weights while playing with the kids around the house.

Sometimes you just have to be creative. Look at your day, think about what you actually enjoy (better chance of sticking with it) and see what you can fit in.

Good luck!
