Angel Getting healthy...anyone with me?

I've decided that instead of focusing on losing weight I am going to focus on feeling healthier because I feel so very crap....

SO...

I am going to give up caffeine (coffee, tea, cola and chocolate). When I feel drained I drink loads of coffee but I don't feel better for it. I am going to drink water, decaff tea and redbush tea.

I am going to go for a walk with Ava everyday. Even if it is only 15 minutes, rain, hail or shine I am going out into the fresh air and move!

I am going to go swimming once a week and then sit in the jacuzzi as a reward for 20 lengths.

I am going to eat my 5 a day!

I am going to stick these resolutions up in the kitchen and hopefully I will start to feel more human soon...anyone wanna join me? We can check in here for support and encouragement and accountability.

i'm with you. i've been also cutting down on coffee - not altogether but limiting it to just a few cups per day. been drinking more water and i've been trying to walk more too. its just about getting in the right frame of mind. once you start to feel healthier then you want to keep at it. its getting started thats the problem. i need a massive kick in the bum lol

My progress today...

No coffee in 2 days (a couple of headaches instead ). I have bought some decaf tea so I am drinking that and I poured out a big jug of water this morning and have had more than half. I am still eating chocolate though!

I have been for a walk

I have eaten more fruit

Will go swimming tomorrow evening

I feel a lot more alert already which is great, still having a major energy slump in the late afternoon but at least it is not a whole day slump! I feel like I slept better last night too.

Hmmmm, am thinking I may join you but don't hold me to it. From Monday I will:
  • Have hot water with Lemon first thing in the morning instead of tea
  • will eat breakfast!
  • will also have a jug of water out for my daily intake and drink instead of tea
  • will reduce my tea drinking to just 2 cups per day instead of the 4-6 I have just now!
  • Will eat more fruit
  • Will go for a walk every day

Think that will do for now, the more items I have, the less likely I will stick to it
