Big hugs. You can console yourself in the fact that most of that 6 pounds was probably water loss, so just start drinking a lot of water and cut out the snacks.
Make sure at work that you take a water bottle with you and you drink a lot. Also prepare ahead of time and take with you cut up veggies. Another good tip if you are hungry is to eat a few walnuts or sunflower nuts (not roasted or salted) Chew them well. They curb your hunger and appetite so worth the calories. Hugs and keep it up, you are still 3 pounds lighter than you were before! |

Thanks, i should try nd drink more water. Its the nature of the emergency department, it just isn't easy to try and curb hunger when you really don't get the opportunity to get something to eat for hours on end. Oh well never mind, will keep at it.

Did I know you are an ER nurse too?
I am going back to work next week after 2+ years off. arrghh. I keep a big bottle (1.5 liter) at the station and constantly drink , which then gives me a good excuse to escape for a few minutes and pee-lol! |

Susie. We aren't supposed to keep water/drinks out in the department! I have just chaged my job, waiting for a start date to work with the health visiting team. Very excited but so so sad to leave A&E because i love it. I hope your return goes well. It'll take you about 5 mins nd it'll all come flooding back. Best of luck x
