Apart from the obvious - omitting saturated fats and trans fats and eat good fats, don't have more than 2 egg yolks a week as they are very high in cholesterol. Eat loads of superfoods as well.

I had high cholesterol once and was given a diet sheet, it was useful as it had three lists, one to eat daily, one to limit to weekly and one to avoid. I've looked for it but can't find it but, from what I can remember, the good things are porridge, other wholewheat cereals, wholewheat bread, lentils and pulses, i.e. barley, turkey, chicken and fish. Enojy moderately salmon, eggs, red meat. Avoid butter, cream, biscuits etc. Drink plenty of water and exercise.

Ok

Those Benecal drinks and spreads are meant to be good.

My hubby suffers with this sometimes, it is a hereditory thing, some people are more prone than others apparantly. The Doc said he has to work harder with diet an exercise than some people is all.

Porridge for breakfast and raw carrots with lunch (I am convinced this works as hubby has been beter since all the raw carrots!)
