Well, this is what my Dr. told me to do during pregnancy, and have to say it worked really well to keep weight gain reasonable and not a lot of swelling up (until month #9 when I ditched the diet, loaded up on Gelato (2x day) during the heat wave, and then swelled up like a tick).
No wheat, or things containing wheat No refined sugar (biscuits, cakes) No fizzy drinks (though I did have sparkling water) No juice Limit fruits to two per day, and no mangoes, bananas or grapes (I did have the odd banana when I'd get leg cramps, though) As many veggies as possible I ate loads of quinoa and brown rice, lots of grilled lean meats, lots of seafood, lots of greens (esp kale). I found a bakery that made spelt croissants (though my Dr. told me that wasn't in the spirit of the diet, I didn't care ![]() I ate about 1/2 large bar of dark choccie every day, though, which was a bit of a cheat. No caffeine (drank loads of Rooibois tea) No alcohol Good luck! |

This is going to sound really bad but i ate quite bad 50% of time like take aways fish and chips cans of pop lots of chocolate etc, but the other half ate salmon fillets lots of (at 1 point i ate about 10 a week) with piles of veggies. I also ate massive quantities of food too. I was just starving constantly. My lo was a healthy 7lb 7 and eats everything now.
So after the essay all im trying to say is if u want a treat have one dont beat yourself up about it. |
