Default Something stuck in throat

Hi everyone, sorry not sure if I should be posting this type of thing here, but just wanted to ask, just wondering if anyone else has ever had this sensation, that something is stuck in your throat ? For the last week or so I have had this feeling, I can only describe it as when you try to take a pill without water and it gets stuck.

I dont feel restricted and can breath and eat etc normally, just its really starting to get on my nerves and to be honest I am feeling a little scared that there might be something wrong. I have tried to get docs appointment but can get one for today.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this feeling ?

I had this for about a month on and off and mine was stress.... honestly when I gave up the job the very next day it went away and came back only once more when I had an extremelly difficult time in my life.

Something like this I would say you should get checked out with your gp.

You can get something similar with indigestion though I believe. Hope it improves soon xx

some call it a peach pit. Can be lots of reasons- but stress, not eating properly, sleeping right I put on top of the list.

Would have your doc check you out cause there are medical things that can also cause that feeling, but am sure it is none of them-just like to be on safe side.

Alternative medicine (acupuncture, reflexology ...seem to help with it.

Thank you both for replying, hopefully I will manage to get an appointment for the doctor tomorrow and they will be able to tell me and hopefully it is just as you have said. Fingers crossed. Thanks again.

What did you ever find out what was wrong with your throat? Do you mind letting me know because I'm experiencing the same problem right now and I'm concerned?

My husband suffers with this problem constantly and when he gets a cold coming on it gets worse. He constantly clears his throat (sounds awful but this is sooooo irritating you have no idea as it is non-stop for the last god knows how many years) it got so bad a couple of years ago, he woke up in the night choking. Rushed him to hospital and basically after seeing an ENT specialist, his Uvula (sp?) (the bit that hangs down at the back of your throat) is a tiny bit too long for his throat so it brushes on the back of his tongue, making it feel like he always has something stuck in his throat. He needs to have an op but won't do it. Wish he bloody would!! Hope you found out what was wrong and are now ok xx
