Default What have YOU eaten today?

It could be a good idea for those of us trying to lose weight to record what we eat but most importantly why ie boredom etc and it could help us see a pattern.

Breakfast: nothing running late
mid morning: mini sausage roll Got them to freeze for G's lunch box and couldn't resist one)
Lunch: 3/4 carton covent garden veg soup (no bread for first time ever!)
Mid afternoon: Tescos finest bakery biscuit (hungry on way home Kit kat sensations bar as i wanted to try one but wish i hadn't bothered wasting the calories!) Grapes while cooking dinner
Tea: Chicken Kiev, potatoes, carrots and broccoli. 2 mini muffins (hubby brought home and i thought they are so small it wont matter )
Probably going to have another few muffins in a minute as i will be watching TV and suppose its a hard habit to break.

reading back its been a worse day than i thought, i knew i hadn't been great but seeing it in print is bad

Great idea Beth.

Today I have eaten:

Breakfast: No breakfast - just a cup of tea (I do usually eat breakfast but wasn't hungry this morning)

Mid morning: Cup of tea

Lunch: Large bowl of chicken noodle soup followed by a pot of diced peaches.

Dinner: Ate about half of Joseph's pizza that he didn't eat and about 10 dried apricots. (was supposed to have Salmon & veg with OH when he got home but was full so didn't have anything more)

Lots of water throughout the day.

Would like to add that this is not a typical day at all and I am probably still recovering from my stomach bug last week as I've not really eaten much over the last few days and when I do I feel a bit dizzy (like a sugar rush) and then get really bad indigestion.

I really like this idea. I suggested it in the food section a few weeks ago, about adding it to our LO's stickies, so I'm all for it. I'm always on look out for inspiration for my meals too. I never really diet as such, but aspire to eat a balanced diet so I guess I could join in too...?

How about we record what exercise we did daily too - even if it's half an hour ironing or something! Maybe if I have to type it out here, it will motivate me to actually move my ever larger rear end... I'll start:
Yesterday
An hour and a half of full on cleaning i.e. washing down kitchen cupboard fronts, tiles and doors - then used the small dustpan and brush over the entire ground floor cos the bloody hoover has conked out! Then the usual up/down stairs, light housework and Evie juggling.

Breakfast: HM Cinnamon Bake and three prunes, and cup of tea (skim milk/no sugar)

Lunch: HM Sweetcorn, Mushroom and Cheddar Quiche, Roasted Butternut Squash and Potato Wedges, and glass of water.

Teatime: Slice of HM Bread (a very small loaf) with Butter and Isabella's Mum's Apricot Spread, 2 squares of Milk Choc and cup of Decaf Coffee (skim milk/no sugar)

Dinner: HM Tomato-Based White Fish Curry with Garlic and Coriander Naan, and glass of water

I also had two mini gingerbread men at playgroup if that makes you feel better. I'd forgotten about them

Porridge biscuits are chewy oaty biscuits that my gran makes and she gave me the recipe. The recipe makes 16 big biscuits and there is only one left now - I only baked yesterday!

My brother and SIL babysat last night and were loving them! They even took a bag home. I'd took some for the other workers at my youth club as we'd had a meeting last night too.

Have posted but not sure what your diet will make of the sugar fest...

you could maybe try something like spenda (powdered sweetener) if your diet wont allow the sugar. I would assume you just use the same weight of it but dont hold me to that! Might give them a go at the weekend. I have also heard that semolina is a good subsitute for flour but never tried it and cant say the thought of it sounds great!
