Thumbs up Getting Juicy

Am doing Jason Vale's 7lbs in 7 days. Weight loss a bonus but mainly doing it to help me feel better and get some energy as my Endo and bowel are at an all time bad at the mo. Just had my first juice and it's delicious!! When you see what's going in you think this is going to be minging but it's surprisingly good! Can't wait to see how I feel by the end of it

I lasted 5 days of the 7 day plan then gave up as I hadn't had a poo all week and was going to explode a shower of cack if i didn't eat something.

The juices taste less nice after four days of nothing else. I am starting again thursday and will do the 'Juice for Life' plan where you have breakfast and lunch juices then an evening meal.

But surely when you stop eating the juices and start eating normally again you will put all the weight back on????

I haven't been doing it juice only, have been having an evening meal cos I got too hungry!! I am now loving this lifestyle, more often than not I wouldn't eat during the day anyway, always skipped breakfast, then would get hungry about 11, too early for lunch so would scoff crisps and biscuits instead then not want lunch cos I'd had all that, then have a massive dinner. This is so much better for me and I have lost 7lbs in 6 and a half days and am feeling really really good I shall be keeping up with it like this, choosing the juices I like the best and making up my own and will continue to juice during the day and eat in the evenings, then when I do have a bingey day or lunch or dinner out I won't feel the slightest bit bad about it because I know I'll be juicing again the next day. No brainer and really works, am loving it, loving it, loving it!!!!

If you went back to eating the same as you did before of course you would!

It does condition you to crave healthier foods, I felt incredible last time, had loads of energy, was waking and springing out of bed in the mornings, glowy skin. Its a massive jolt of raw vitamins for your body, i bought veg yesterday for the week and there is easily 3x what i would eat normally plus no vitamins are lost in cooking.

I am doing it this time to boost my energy levels and feel good, weight loss welcomed but not mandatory!

Just checked and its called "turbo charge your life" the plan i will be loosely following. I am cycling a sportive on sunday and wont do it then as i burn 3000-4000 calories on a long ride and need complex carbs and protein to keep my legs whirling up those hills! Days when i do shorter rides or spin will be fine with this though.

At the end of the day you will put back on what you've lost with ANY detox/diet. If you really want to change how you look and feel you have to do things as a lifestyle change, meaning permanent, not just until you're at a goal weight then start loading the junk in again. There are millions of people that are on a "diet", then fall off the wagon, then diet again, fall off and put twice the amount back on etc etc. I was given some advice that really hit me and is so simple. Eat less, move more. That's it! Just eat healthily, you cn have the odd "bad" food because if you're good 90% of the time then that 10% of naughty won't make any difference and exercise is obviously a major factor in it too. Simples

What juicer do you all have?

I looked up that guy on google and found the website, the juices sound really yum. I've not been eating breakfast much recently as it takes ages to get breakfast for my 3 sorted and to feed the youngest but I think we would all drink a juice.

My only worry is does it take much time to prepare the fruit/veg and make and clean up afterwards? I know if it is fiddly I'll not bother doing it! (Bought a blender a few years ago to make smoothies etc and it's been used about 4 times!) Argos have a few for a reasonable price and amazon have the Philips wide one for about £65ish, with free book, but I don't want to spend the money and then not use it.

Debs:

I follow the recipes so get all my veg out the night before and stack them on the chopping board next to the juicer. It takes 30 seconds to push them through but you need to dismantle the juicer and wash it everytime. Washing the juicer is a pain in the bum but realistically only takes 2 minutes.

I have the Philips, my mum bought a cheaper one for £30 but it didn't get half as much juice, wasn't as fast and the motor went after a couple of months. She replaced it with the Philips after using mine a few times.

You need a blender too so at least you will get use out of that!
