Not sure if I'm making all this more difficult for myself and it should be easier than I'm making it, perhaps I'm restricting myself too much by doing extra easy
Anyway, just wondered if one of you would mind having a read through my first week's food diary and telling me if it's ok? Emma, have noticed on your "what have I eaten today" replies that you've been having things like 200g Mcain chips and it's only 2 syns and having with steak? Yet last night when I looked in the book it said 28g of oven chips was 1 syn, when I weighed that out me and hubby absolutely fell about the place laughing our socks off, it was literally 5 chips!!!!!!! Still had them though!! Hahahahahahaha So I'm getting confused on what you can and can't have, could you have that amount cos you were on a green or red day or something?Here is my food diary, sorry to list it all but would just like to know if I've been doing it right. have been doing extra easy only xx Day 1 Hot water with lemon 4 cups of tea (with Milk from my 250ml allowance - HO A) 3 Mullerlight yogs 2 Apples 1 banana 1 Satsuma 2 slices wm bread (HO B) Meatballs & Pasta with Tomato sauce (SW recipe) Syns 5 pieces extra chewing gum - 0.5 2 tsps butter for my bread - 4 2 Rich tea fingers with my tea at 10am - 2 2 rich tea fingers after dinner with cup of tea - 2 Total = 8.5 Day 2 Hot water with Lemon 3 cups of tea (Milk HO A) Ham omlette Shape fat free yog Can Diet Fanta 1 banana 1 Apple 1 Satsuma Chilli with rice and sweetcorn 28g Shreddies (HO B) Syns 1 tbsp Tomato Sauce - 1 2 Jaffa Cakes after dinner - 5 Total = 6 Day 3 Hot water with Lemon Shape Zero yog Mullerlight yog 2 cups of tea (Milk HO A) Chicken and bacon salad Bacon, quorn sausage, scrambled eggs and beans for lunch Can diet drink 1 Banana 1 Satsuma 2 slices wm bread (HO B) Syns 2 tsps butter - 4 1 Jaffa Cake - 2.5 2 tbsps Extra light Mayo - 1 Total = 7.5 Day 4 3 cups of tea (Milk HO A) 3 Mullerlight Yogs 1 Shape yog Salad 3 Apples 2 Eggs with Bacon and beans Can Diet Drink 2 slices wm bread (HO B) prawns Syns 1 tsp Apricot jam - 0.5 1 tbsp Ketchup - 1 1 tbsp extra light mayo - 0.5 2 Jaffa Cakes - 5 1 Meringue Nest - 3 Total = 10 It doesn't look much written down but I feel like I'm just eating fruit, salad and veg!!!! Guess it just shows how little fruit and veg I ate No idea at all why I'm finding this difficult because before I started I wasn't even really eating during the day at all and just eating my dinner, it really has to be just the bread factor I suppose??? Salad and fruit just don't fill me up and if anything make me feel a bit sick when I'm eating so much of it. Anyway, thanks in advance to whoever can look at this, just want to know if there's anything I'm doing wrong etc, not keen on my consultant and can't go for a few weeks after tonight cos of my op so any help I'd be most grateful for xxxxxx |

100g of mccain rustic oven chips are 1 syn
i have 300g of them or a pile of sw chips with a large steak or gammon and a large salad. that meal would be free if having sw chips or 3 syns if i was having mccain rustics on the extra easy plan. The only thing i can see with your food diary is that your not eating enough proper food. (if that makes sense) you need to have breakfast lunch and dinner. i know you say you dont usually eat much during the day, but you need to eat breakfast at least. Yoghurts and fruit dont fill you up enough to be your main source of energy throughout the day. try to have some pasta and tomato sauce or ham salad sandwich etc. batchelors savoury rice and pasta & sauces are both free on green and extra easy, just try and have some extra veggies with it. if you read your book, it does say 2/3 free foods and 1/3 superfree for each meal. so for example,,,, jacket potato tuna and salad. or steak sw chips and salad. or meat mash and veg. |

yes i think it says in the extra easy booklet thing.
ive been doing succes express, which is opposite to easy. 2/3 superfree and 1/3 free foods. 2a 2b and the higher syn value. its hard but hopefully worth it when i get on them scales wed night ive got some new food diaries that make it abit easier, ill send you some tommorrow ![]() |

As for the chips im not quite sure what plan/day Emma was following at the time, but my SW bible says that you can have 100g of Mcain Rustic oven chips for 1.0syn on a green day? Also you can make SW chips for free, there pretty good i quite often make cheesey chips if i want something that feels a bit naughty!
