Thumbs up

Ok, here goes:

1. How often do you prepare a pasta meal for your baby and toddler per week?
Three meals a week are pasta based

2. What pasta do you like to use for your child?
I love the small shell shapes you can buy which are smaller than usual. We also love linguine.

3. When did you switch over to adult pasta for your toddler?
As soon as Matilda was allowed pasta she has had grown up spaghetti, chopped up, though she did love the baby star shaped ones too.

4. What is the most important thing for you to have on the front of the packaging?

a) How many meals you can make per pack
b) Cooking time
c) Organic

For us, the cooking time is the most important thing as she was always so impatient at meal times so the quicker the better!

1. How often do you prepare a pasta meal for your baby and toddler per week?
3 times a week

2. What pasta do you like to use for your child?
When Rhys was a baby I did use the AK baby stars etc; still use animal or alphabet shaped pasta ocassionally but usu its fusilli or macaroni; he does like lasagne too; he's quite partial to the tube pasta that comes in twisted spirals (dont know the name). He likes gnocchi too. I let him pick the shape this week at the supermarket and he picked penne as he thought it looked nice!

3. When did you switch over to adult pasta for your toddler?
Probably abt 1-1.5 years old: did start bty bashing adult pasta into smaller bits

4. What is the most important thing for you to have on the front of the packaging?

a) How many meals you can make per pack
b) Cooking time
c) Organic

Dont consider any of the above as important enough to have on the front: for baby pasta, prob need the cooking time to be readily seen but dont care if its on the back (as ist smaller tends to cook quicker); for adult pasta, I dont follow times, I just cook it til I think its done;
Numbers of meals is irrelevant as it depends on the portion size and if you are cooking for adults/children and what their appetite is like;
Organic comment: have on ocassion bought organic as its been on a deal but you can usually tell by the name: eg. Tesco Organic pasta or Seeds of Change pasta...

Smile Pasta Answers

1. How often do you prepare a pasta meal for your baby and toddler per week?

A About three times a week.

2. What pasta do you like to use for your child?

A. My child likes penne as the sauce gets inside the pasta and makes it really tasty. She also likes fresh pasta and spaghetti but I have to cut the spaghetti up as she makes such a mess trying to suck it up whole, looks cute doing it though.

3. When did you switch over to adult pasta for your toddler?

A I alway gave adult pasta when she was old enough to eat it. Having four children the youngest had to fit in with the others and luckily I do not have fussy eaters and they enjoy new experiences and tastes without fuss.

4. What is the most important thing for you to have on the front of the packaging?

a) How many meals you can make per pack
b) Cooking time
c) Organic

A With a big family the size of the pack is the most important, cooking time is useful as quick cooking pasta makes it easier to prepare. Would like organic but not a must I'm afraid.
