Default Should I move to follow-on milk?

Hello,
Having intended to exclusively breastfeed but having to mix feed from 4 months, I now find at 6 months I need advice. Is it advisable to move my boy onto follow-on milk (we use HIPP) at this point? Are follow-on milks nutritionally appropriate for 6 months on, or are they just another way for the formula companies to make more money? If it's any help, we've been weaning for the past 6 weeks or so.
Thank you
Nathalie

Its a marketing ploy. Just continue to use your regular formula as drinkng milk and use cows milk for cooking with with aim to stop formula at 12 months and let your LO drink cows milk as main drink from then.
