the technique we used was squeeze you boob and ram it in, worked well for us

With Dylan i did what racelmae said, squeeze it, kinda like holding a cigarette in between 2 fingers! with imogen though as she was so small and weak i had to use nipple shields for about 2 weeks, then she just had the hang of it didnt seem to notice no nipple shield. the shields create more of a vacuum so the baby doesnt have to hold on quite so much.

You want her nose lined up with your nipple and brush her top lip with your nipple then when she opens nice and wide bring her to the boob. If you look up breast feeding positions the cross cradle hold or the football hold is easiest when trying to get the latch right IMO. If she isn't latching on deep enough then break her latch and try again. She will get the hang of it in the end. Hang in there & good luck. x

I found laying on my side with Franky belly to belly with me was the easiest position xx
