Dropping Feeds...
My son is almost 1 and he currently as 4-6oz formula in his bottle in the morning, 2-4oz around 3pm and then another 4-6oz in the evening (bedtime bottle)
He drinks water (not often) and weak sugar free cordial during the day, sometimes out his bottle if we are out and about (as it wont spill in my bag) or if we're at home, out his cowcup. He can't yet hold the bottle or cup himself so I have to still feed him.
He is getting very fussy over the afternoon feed, somedays only taking 2-3 sucks then pushing it out the way. Could this be a sign that we can drop the afternoon bottle for say a formage frais and some fruit instead.
Our routine is this...(I welcome any advice, suggestions...)
7am wake and bottle
9am breakfast made with 5oz formula (weetabix or fruity porridge)
Juice out of cow cup
1030 nap
1200 lunch - either homemade food or 1 savory pouch (not jars) and 1 jar banana custard or yogurt (his favourites)
Juice ouf of cow cup but not that much
3pm afternoon bottle
nap
5pm dinner - either homemade or 1 savory pouch and a biscotti to munch on
7pm evenign bottle
I recently got the AK book so going to try to move him onto more homemade meals - trying the salmon footballs for dinner tonight!
Ideally I'd like him to drink more at night and wondered if dropping his 3pm feed will encourage that?
