Will be stopping breastfeeding in a few weeks...

....a bit sad but I've fed James for nearly 19 months and feel I want to stop now. He' only being fed before he goes to bed and a lot of time just want to comfort suck.

Just hope he's ok. Stopped feeding him in the night last night and he was fine.

The end is in sight!!!

well done for breast feeding him for 19 months. that is fantastic. you should be proud. if you feel the time is right for you then thats all that matters.

Thanks for the replies...so far so good the last two nights although he was moaning a bit last night.

Just need to crack sleeping through.......he hasn't yet.......sooooooooooo tired!!!!

He wakes on average twice a night and can take two hours to get back to sleep.....little monkey.

Tried CC but made things worse. Using softly softly approach and hoping when he gets his big bed he'll be a lot better and at least I can lie down next to him instead of dangling my arms over the cot to comfort him!!!

Sounds like it is going well aside from sleeping through. Will keep my fingers crossed he sleeps through soon for you x
