Breastmilk Donor

Has anyone ever done this? I was just reading about it and found it very interesting. I didn't know about it.

not done it myself but did think about doing as i was like a cow with fraser

I also have plenty of milk. Will phone hospital on Monday to see if they would like some

Hiya hon I don't know much about it, but got the impression they needed early stage milk? Like 0-3 months? Who knows. Can't imagine there'd be many folk out there donating at such an early stage. Let us know what you find out xxx

I donated to a milk bank here in the USA. I had a telephone interview to determine if I was a suitable donor. I remember it was questions mainly about health and what countries i had travelled to in the past few years. My milk was picked up by a courier company and sent to wherever the milk bank was and then given to hospitals. There is usually a minimum amount of milk you have to given them I think it must be to make their costs worthwhile. Let us know how you get on it is such a great thing to do. x

Yeah, it says on the website preferably before 6 months as early milk is more suitable for prem babies. Will let you know how I get on

I enquired when I had Isabella but the local place only took milk from Mums whose baby was under three months and she was just over this.
