A new study http://acerh. anu.edu.au/ publications/ ACERH_WP4. pdf
And NO, it isn't saying formula is poison (because it obviously isn't) but there are risks which imo every mother should know about to enable them to make an informed choice about how they feed their babies....of course every individual mother needs to weigh that up against any other perceived "risks" or situation. edited to see if I can get the link to work properly http://acerh. anu.edu.au/ publications/ ACERH_WP4. pdf edited to say - nahhhh you'll have to copy and paste! |

It was published on Monday in this article Scientists 'hide formula risk'(Science Alert) but being the nice person I am I thought I'd get you the full study.
I didn't post it to start any argument, just to pass on information. I only came across it today tbh - perhaps "new" was the wrong choice of word. It's on numerous other boards....... Last edited by fussymum : 06-01-10 at 12:34. |

Not that it really matters but the paper you linked to in the OP is just a draft and a revised version was published in August 2009.
Health Professional Knowledge of Breastfeeding: Are the Health Risks of Infant Formula Feeding Accurately Conveyed by the Titles and Abstracts of Journal Articles? -- Smith et al. 25 (3): 350 -- Journal of Human Lactation |
