Default What do you think? (milk problem)

Hi, my lo is nearly 9 months old and last week had a lot of sickness. She was only sick after formula feeds but ok on water, cows milk and food - what she would eat. Since then she has only half her formula feeds she had before and isn't really interested in those. I've tried keeping on top by giving her very small amounts of cow's milk. She is a really good eater and has 3 meals a day plus snacks. tried her with milk but pushes it away as she wants food. She has been sitting, crawling and cruising since 6 months so is very active.
Thought about giving her just cow's milk in the day and a last formula feed before bed.
What do you think? xxx

the guidelines say not to give cows milk as a drink til 12 months, but its ok to use in food (not sure why this is?!), keep giving cows milk in foods & using yoghurts. fromage frais cheese etc. perhaps change the formula you're using & see if this helps. maybe with the food & the formula its all too much. freddie was very sicky til he was 18 months, some kids are just more sicky than others as their stomach is not fully mature til about 2.

I have decided not to give my 6 month old follow on milk as i feel that i offer him a varied iron rich diet, therefore including extra iron from milk shouldnt be nessersary?! I suffered with BF too, i managed it for just over 3 months but i was so unhappy, i dreaded my baby waking for a feed. I felt i could never relax and just enjoy my baby but i was put under so much preasure to BF i felt i had no other choice. Eventually, my husband couldnt bare to see me so unhappy and helped me express and also use formula gradually. I suddenly felt the world lift of my shoulders, and i remember finally enjoying being a mummy. There is too many people giving to much advice and telling you how to raise your child when you should just listen to your heart, you know best!!I agree BF should be the first choice, but the pressure needs to stop.

Like Cathy said maybe formula & food is too much for her? Maybe reduce the amount of formula you're giving her (remember it's a food at the end of the day). I honestly can't remember when I stopped giving formula but I think for my 1st she was 10mths and I switched to cows milk because she was such a good eater she didn't need the addition of formula in her diet, plus she was starting to refuse it, but I think I did keep giving her formula as her bedtime milk till she was 18mths ish
