Question Dream Feeds

so what do you all think about dream feeds??

Franky sometimes goes to sleep at 8pm then would be due a feed say 10pm but will continue to sleep through till roughly 12/1am so i leave him and feed him when he eventually wakes coz i think well he can't be hungry otherwise he'd wake BUT then a couple of mums have said if i give him a dream feed he will sleep through a bit longer???????

Why not try it one night and see how it goes?

We don't dream feed Oliver - he sleeps thru til about 3/4 before waking. Sometimes he has a couple of days of sleeping right thru. I'm not too bothered about getting up just once and I'm sure that once we start him on solids and get him in his own room he'll start to sleep through quite quickly. Neither thing too far away (where has the time gone?).

I think it's entirely up to you; the plus is that you can feed him when you choose and get more hours of kip BUT you'll never know when he would sleep through IYSWIM.

No harm in giving it a go I reckon. Neither of mine really took to it, just woke at the same time anyways. But I've heard loads of folk say it kept their LOs sleeping for an extra couple of hours.

We used to dreamfeed Ethan at around 11pm just as we were going to bed. Once he'd had this feed he'd sleep 'til around 5:30am to 6am. Occasionally he'd wake earlier.
