Default How long did you breastfeed for?

I met up with the mummies and kids from my antenatal class today. 3 out of the 5 of us there are still BFing at up to 17months old. I think that is great, they have done so well. I had to give up after 2 months

How long did you all bf for?

With my first 5 months-she took a weird aversion to feeding for 2 weeks then I had no milk left and with Dylan we're still going, he's nearly 8 months. I'll carry on as long as I can (I draw the line a primary school age!!!!!)

so much more convenient for me than bottlefeeding, whip em out, get im on, put em away!

I'm still breastfeeding Owen, he's 11 months. It was very hard for the first few months (mastitis included) so I never thought I'd get this far. No plans on stopping just yet although I'll have to cut down on a couple of feeds coz I'm going back to work in a month.

i put under 2 months. I never actually BF, as neither of mine would accept the breast, no matter what, but i expressed a few times a day for several weeks, longer with george, so they would still get the goodness.
I had planned to BF them both for a year, which i personally think is the ideal age, but thats just me! xxxx

Unfortunately i couldnt breastfeed at all, i would have liked to but in the end i didnt have a choice. I had a breast reduction a few years ago and i had to accept then, that there would always be a risk that i couldnt breastfeed. I'd hoped to be able to combine breast and bottle, but unfortunately i just couldnt produce enough.
