We have about 100, probably a few more as there are some more at my mums house, and some at my school.
I work in a special needs school so i have used them as my own resources for school, but i have to remember to bring them back home.
I love children's books, and love reading with my LO, but we also enjoy going to the library too

Just bought the box set of Mr Men books in TK Maxx for £25 for all 46 of them!

Had 21 already over a year ago on a 3 for 2 deal but buying the remainder on even a 3 for 2 deal would be over £32 so the box set made more sense!

Will give rest away to friend across street as her kids like mr Men (assuming them dont have them already)

Our collection is easily into the hundreds and would be difficult to count because they are all over the house. I really believe that you can't have too many books. I plan to keep some for my grand kids (my parents had kept a bunch of our books from the time we were kids- my sis and I split them up and our kids now read our old books). The rest (that aren't destroyed) will be donated. Every child deserves books to read.

I just counted the ones we have in the cupboard downstairs and was also shocked as there are about 60. I was going to say she has the same upstairs - until I spotted the other post about 'collections'! We bought the Mr Men collection (30 books) and the Beatrix Potter collection for a fraction of the price from The Book People so guess we have close to 200 books!!
In our defense, LOTS of them have either been handed down to us from friends with older children or have been presents or else purchases from The Book People so very few bought at full price. And once finished with, we will pass on to the other people so feel justified!
We also love the local library - not that we need it!

Oliver has about 80 books and more at each set of grandparents houses but I don't think they can have too many books. He loves books & I think it's a great thing to encourage. Haven't taken him to the library yet but tis a good idea. x
