Smile What were your favourite books when you were little?

Hi everyone

Welcome to the new Book Club forum - why not recommend great books to read to your kids...(the Hungry Caterpillar and Alfie & Annie Rose books were my favourites when i was little). What were your favourites?
Best wishes

Laura

My nan had a stash of Enid Blyton books and I loved reading them. I can't wait until I read stories to Lucy and she fully understands them ( I read to her now but it will be nice later on) I think she will be a bookworm. There is nothing like the feeling of not being able to put a book down ! however tired you are !

When I was small I remember reading the Ladybird 'Now You Can Read' series with stories like 'The Enormous Turnip', 'The Elves' and the Shoemakers' and 'The Gingerbread Man'. When I got a bit older I loved 'The Wind in the Willows'. When I was around 11 or 12 I discovered Judy Blume. Anyone remember her book 'Forever'? Was quite controversial in the late 80's!
