dd is 3.5yrs and we have read the chimpanzees of happytown EVERY night for the last month - we had a library copy but i bought our own in the end. she can just about repeat the words on most pages all by herself.
and we have a game where i read all but the last word of each sentence and she shouts it out. thankfully i found aliens love underpants last night so that made a change. ![]() |

Flo has had a few Roald Dahl stories now. She is quite happy to listen without too many piccies. Some of them are aimed at younger children I think. I have also picked up Naughty Amelia Jane from a carboot. I am going to have a look at it to check it is ok but it looks to be lots of shortish stories in one book which I quite like.x

Tilly lies all the Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffer books (Gruffallo, Gruffallos Child, Room on the broom, squash and a squeeze, smartest giant in town, monkey puzzle, snail and the whale...)
She also enjoys the Mr Men and Little Miss books With the new baby on the way, a friend has loaned us a book called There's a House Inside My Mummy by Giles Andreae. Cute rhyming story about a little boy who gets a baby brother. We read it most days at the moment! Thinking of buying her something by Roald Dahl for Christmas. |
