Default Babies shoes

I need to get Ava her first pair of shoes and Clarks have lovely ones and will measure her feet properly but the shoes are £20 which I think is ridiculous for shoes she'll probably have outgrown in a month. If I get her measured there are there any other shops where I can get good quality baby shoes for less money? I don't want to buy cheap shoes that are no good for her feet but surely I don't have to spend that much!

TBH i think its worth the expense. Their feet are so soft and can be deformed easily if the shoes arent 100%. Also cheaper shows never last but clarks do. I left getting george new school shoes til the day before he went back to school and there was ques out the door so i went to stead and simpson and got a pair for half the price and was actually pleased with myself til they started to fall apart within 3 weeks, his clarks ones last around 6 months or when he goes up a size.
Imo was in the same size shoes for nearly a year so its not always needed to get new shoes every few months as long as they are checked regularly.

Shoes are defo the one thing you can't scrimp on especially first shoes. There is a Clarks outlet near me that has discounted shoes, last seasons etc but they don't have the full range of sizes/fittings so you can't rely on getting something there.

Isabella has never had Clarks shoes as her feet are very narrow so she has to have Start-rite which are even more expensive Now she's a bit older we've tried different places and she has some ugg boots from Next which were only £13 and fit beautifully.

Any reputable shoe shop like Clarks, Startrite, John Lewis, Charles Clinkards or Jones will have staff fully qualified in fitting too which is really important. I used to shoe fit at John Lewis and the training was very indepth.

They're definitely worth the expense as others have said. We've always had Clarks shoes for Ethan. I'm not always impressed with the styles but at least I know they are supporting his feet properly.

The trick is to go to a Clarks seconds shop if you can find one near. We got our LO some very good shoes for £9 - reduced from £29. Result! And they dont grow out of them quite as fast as you think...
