Default My couch stinks of sick - help!

Oliver threw his milk up all over the couch this morning. He hasn't done this in such a long time but problem is I washed it straight away with fairy and hot water but i'm sitting here & just realised the couch stinks. What can I use to get the smell out??

I think if you put bicarb of soda on and leave it overnight then vacuum it off in the morning that might help

Not sure if this will work or not but back in my pub working days lemon juice used to get rid of smells like Pernod and Malibu so could be worth a shot, would spot test first mind.

Try fabreeze first though!

i find febreeze only covers it for a while but the smell never really goes. Isnt it something like bicarbonate of soda?

My mum used to put salt overnight on the car boot carpet whenever milk spilled there. Not the same as a sofa but fabric none the less!!!

this works wonders. When Oliver was ill once he was sick all in my car (on way to GP), all over sofa and carpet. I must have spent over £20 on different cleaning products and in the end it was cured with a few tubs of bicarb of soda for a couple of pounds.

Sounds like you have nothing to lose by trying it.

Thanks ladies. I gave it another good scrub once Oliver had gone to bed and I am going to do the bicarb thing. I'll let you know how it works out.
