Default blocked nose for a month now...

And i'm fed up. It goes from being blocked (mostly at night) to running in the day. Any suggestions of a cure? i dont think its cold related as i dont have any other symptoms. Some days i get a headache from sniffing and blowing so much, it is also worse if i cook or cry strangely

Have you tried taking certain things out of your diet? Like wheat, milk products?

I'd try taking a tablet probiotic like acidophilus to get your good bacteria back in control and take ecinachia and eat more vit c (oranges, kiwi etc) and zinc (prawns, eggs). Put some olbas oil on a tissue near your pillow at night and keep the heating off in your room so it is cool around you but wrap up warm in bed with extra layers. HTH xx

ONe more thing-if it has been going on a while, and because you complained about headaches, I would have a doc look at you to make sure you are not getting sinusitis.

could you be allergic to something? have you tried taking an allery tablet to see if that helps or just a plain ol' antihystamine (sp)???

also there's these nose drops called Otrivine which work wonders if you get really sick of it

except you don't want to be too reliant on the otrivine as after a few days you can get a rebound effect....
