Default Anyone ever used....

Anbesol? Doctor recommended it today for Rosie's teething, before I buy it just wonderd if anyone else has used it and does it work?

I haven't used it on LO before but used to use it when I was younger to treat mouth ulcers that I used to get, it did work but seem to remember it have a bit of a funny taste.

Yes I think it's brill.

Don't use it directly before a feed though if you're still bfing as it will numb her gums and make her more likely to bite.

I think ambesol is the most effective topical teething product. OH and I use it for ulcers.

Yes! I have used it on Molly when she is teething. Much better than Bonjela! Just dab some on LO's gums and give a small dose of Calpol and voila! x

yip its fab. if u want something herbal, then ashton and parsons powder is fab and u can use it half hourly. good luck xxx

Thanks ladies, will go and get some tomorrow. Poor little monkey's in such pain miserable all day and can't sleep at night, no sign of any teeth yet but can't think of anything else it could be! Let's hope the Anbesol works quickly!!!

Personally, I never really used it. I bought it, but tried it once. My son howled! I tried it myself, and found that it caused a weird tingling sensation and figured that it really wasn't as effective as people make it out to be. Our pediatrician said not to bother. Not much you can do other than to give lots of love I'm afraid.

Anbesol is fab, I used it for mine, as someone said it doesn't taste very nice and does tingle a little but that is only it working. The liquid is much better than the gel. HTH.
