Question How do you do CC once they can stand up?

Ava has started to wake up at around 4am again, need resettling then wants to get up for the day at 6.30am!! But then she still seems tired. She used to sleep until 7.30am. She doesn't nap much during the day ( a couple of half hours if I'm lucky) so she needs her nighttime sleep....so do I. The trouble is when she wants to get up for the day she'll just stand in her cot rattling the bars and screaming. If I do controlled crying would she eventually lie back down and go to sleep? Any suggestions?

I used to go in and lie Isabella back down as there was a stage (just a couple of weeks) when she could get up but then was stuck there until we laid her back down.

She used to get straight back up again so was pointless and I used to just tell her to shush and leave it at that.

We had the same with Henry - it was exactly 2 weeks of putting him down for naps/night and he would get straight up and cry. I would have to go back up to 5 times before he eventually gave up. Now no probs
