Default sorry for the moan

Izzy's sleep seems to be up the spout again, everytime things settle down for a bit something else comes along.

Last night she was awake at midnight and didn't settle properly again till 3, then was awake again at 5 and finally at 8 (which is small consolation when she has been awake half the night). The times when she was asleep OH was snoring his head off as he had been to the pub.

She has woken in the night most nights this week.

I just don't know what to do to get her sleeping better, it follows no pattern does not correlate to whether or not she has had good day sleep or done loads of activities but seems to be random. I am now questionning whether the nightlight which initially seemed to solve the problem is the problem....

I am feeling really bad as have been resorting to Calpol night a lot recently and clearly this isn't what it is designed for.

Anyway sorry just had to get that off my chest and have a bit of a moan.

A x

(((((((Huge Hugs)))))))))) we are having the same problem, but the girls seem to always have some kind of a sniffle and both are also teething at the mo, so at least i know why there is lack of sleep

But it is driving me mad, most nights Aub's ends up in our bed

I have only been giving the girls calpol and i have been wondering whether to give something else, ie calpol night or medised but not sure

could Izzy be teething babe? Mia is which is why her sleep is all over the place and i swear Medised is the only thing that helps her, also have found if she doesn't sleep properly in the day i.e. only 30mins kip or no sleep then she is a nightmare through the night and will be awake for 3hrs before going back to sleep

Jessimae has been drugged from an early age so dont worry, first medised then melatonion
I only stopped giving her melatoinin when she was about 18months old.
Jessimaes the same in a week she will sleep through 5 nights and wake for 2 nights generally will go back to sleep mayhave a cry, i tend to leave her for abit then go in check shes ok then let her cry....

Thanks girls, it's good to know I am not the only one resorting to the medicine.

Maybe it could be her teeth Bubba but it just seems to have been going on forever, she only has about 4 left to get and they can't come soon enough as far as I am concerned but maybe it is wishful thinking that the day she has 20 teeth she will sleep perfectly....I just won't be able to put it down to teething anymore.

Last night was no better was up from 11:30 to 1:30 and she refused the Calpol Night. But there is definitely something up as when we got up and came downstairs she just said "duddle" (cuddle) and then lay on me on the sofa for over an hour totally still and listless (it was quite concerning), she was v dehydrated (dry lips) and just kept sipping on water. Anyway she has just managed a bit of toast and has perked up a bit so think I will take her for some fresh air in a short while.

A xxx

just to say that we have the same problem with Oliver...some nights he sleeps through but most he wakes......i just keep thinking its his teeth.........i am glad to hear we are not the only ones up in the night!!! Oliver usually ends up in our bed and if Sophie is already there she gets put back in her cot cos there is just not room for 4 of us!!!!!

Charlie tends to wake quite alot when he's unwell or teething. It's awful but I always think to myself 'oh god I hope he's not gonna start being a little sleep monster'. But after a few days whenever the illness has passed he goes back to sleeping really well. I must admit, I think medised rocks! Best little secret every passed onto me from this site!
