Unhappy No sleep :(

Hi ladies,

Was after some help please.

Isabelle is coming up to 10 months now and fro mabout 3 months slept through - was brilliant - but over the last 2/3 months she's starting waking in the night again. She's still in our room (still meaning to put hr in her own room but haven't done it yet) and she just wont settle until she comes into bed with us. She literally standing up screaming at is in bed next to her until we give in - then she sucks her fingers and goes back to sleep - I then put her back in her cot and a little while later it starts over again....... it's getting to me now as I'm feeling drained all day and getting migraines which makes looking a bubba hard work.

She's warm enough in her 2.5 grobag - she seems to be teething on and off (if she's teething though surely she would still cry when I picked her up as the pain would still be there!?).

As she's still in our room and we're laying right next to her - it's hard to leave her and she just gets louder and louder and wont settle herself.

Any ideas? Is the answer to move her into her room and then leave her for a bit rather than jumping up and bringing her into bed with us?

I know I'm probably doing it all wrong!

Thanks x

Hiya, I know how you feel we have not been without problems on the sleep front with our Izzy, perhaps it is in the name...!!!

We ended up doing controlled crying, Izzy was a bit older though about 15 months. Our problem was settling her in the evening she would cry unless we were in the room. It was hard but worth it as she settles much more easily now.

Perhaps try her in her own room before you go down the CC route as it is hard and she it still young.

Sorry to not be more help but you are not alone.

Ethan would only ever fall asleep in my arms until we moved him into his own room at 13ish months (don't ask ). We've not looked back since!

I'd echo what the others have said - try her in her own room. You're probably all more disturbed by each other and it's easier to leave her to settle for a little while without having to rush in and pick her up.

Isabella used to wake in the night several times and want feeding at 9 months. As soon as she went into her own room she slept through fine.

I echo what everyone else has said, move her into her own room and try really hard with the cc, as long as she's fed and dry and not in pain she should settle down. I know it's really hard and we had problems on and off with India sleeping and what cracked it for us was when we moved her into a toddler bed but that was at 15 months, prior to that she was a little bugger at times ! Good luck with it xx
