Default Duvets

Hi All. Havn't been around for a while but hope you can help me with my question. My LO us now 17 mths and has always slept in a sleeping bag and never used blankets. Trouble is, I now can't find anywhere that does his next size and besides that, thought it was time he had a blanket. I bought a child's duvet and pillow set yesterday (suitable for age 1+). I feel really silly asking this question but where do I put Charlie in the cot. I normally put him at the bottom and he ends up at the top, so do I now just put him at the top with his pillow, like I would in a bed? Am I making sense???

Hope you can help x

you can buy bigger sleeping bags in mothercare and jojo mamas. With regards to the cot I put Jess at the top end where her pillow is and tucked the duvet under the mattress so it didn't move round a lot xxx

have just bought next size of sleeping bag for Izzy from mothercare (18-36 months) and it is HUGE!!!!!

I need to use a sleeping bag though as she climbs out of the cot when she doesn't have one on....

i put mia at the top of her bed tho the pillow usually ends up on the floor or at the end or her bed and she ends up sleeping on top of her quilt!

Thanks for your replies. That was a worry Bubba, that he'd end up with nothing on him! I'll try it for a couple of nights, putting him at the top of the bed, and if not, I'll go in search of the huge sleeping bag!

Thanks again xx

i always make sure she has a vest on under her pj's so if the covers come off she doesn't get a chill, did try tucking in her quilt but doesn't stop her sleeping on top of it

TK Maxx do very reasonably priced sleeping bags up to 3 years. The ones I got Ollie are gorgeous too.

I would put him pillow end since he is at the age where he can turn himself over now etc.

Hi when my lo was 1 she went into a cot bed with cot bed duvet and no pillow initially. I found she slept very soundly, better than in the cot and in the sleeping bag or blankets. We put her into the bed cos she kept moving round the cot and we found in the bed she never moved. In just over a year she's only fallen out twice xxx We just put her into the bed like we sleep.

I used to put Oliver in a sleeping bag but he grew out of them too, i now put him in an all in one sleep suit and put his pillow at the top of the cot and cover him in a quilt, he moves all over the shop but im not concerned as he has his sleep suit on, he generally finds his quilt now if he gets cold.

The sleepsuit i bought is from woolworths. Alternativley make your own sleep bag, sew a vest top to a quilt.

I've just had to buy grobags for my 26 month old! She had a quilt and pillow at the top of her bed but constantly kicked off the quilt and ended up freezing constantly. I've got her grobags from Bump to 3 they have some on sale for £15 and are MASSIVE on my lo and she's quite a big girl. She sleeps much better now she's not cold all night! I'm totally a grobag convert now! My 3 month old is also in them now!
