Default wake up/bedtimes

Was just wondering at what times your lo goes to bed and what time they wake up. Currently my lo goes to bed at 9 and wakes up around 7ish. Do you think this is ok for her age (7 1/2 months) I've read that some babies thisage go to sleep at 6 or 7pm! Do you think I should try to get her to be earlier??

I cannot recall what time Ruby was going down at that age (seems so long ago now!) but I think I would try creeping the bed time slot a little earlier and do it gradually, well thats what worked for us! Im sure she was going down at about 7:30pm at 8 months because I was back to work then.

What time does your lo have her last nap? In order to adjust the bedtime sleep you may need to shuffle the nap times a little too.

Ruby has never been the greatest of sleepers but now does 7 til about 6:30am. Routine is essential!

I've attached a link to another website that I find really helpful for guidance.

Freddie has always gone to bed at about 6.30pm - he does wake up at 6.30 am though. His last nap of the day at that age was 3.30ish.

But don't change Naya's bedtime unless you think its a problem, if 9.00 works for you, why change. i personally just like Freddie in bed before i cook/eat our evening meal. xx

Thomas has a bath at 6ish then bottle of milk then bed, he's usually asleep for 7pm and sleeps until around 6.30,7,7.30 or can be 8 depending!! He has 2 naps a day, one at about 10 ish for an hour then again just after 2 for 45 mins. He doesnt seem to be able to stay awake for much longer than 4/4 and a half hours so this is why he's usually asleep for 7pm. Next week im going to try merging his naps into one as he fighting his afternoon nap now and i think he may not need it.
I would creep your lo's bedtime earlier and stick to the same routine everynight as this will act as a cue for bedtime and sleep. Does your lo have lots of naps in the day? if your lo is napping around teatime i would try and get it in earlier - say middle of the afternoon - so bedtime will be more appealing?!

xx

Hey, Georgia normally goes down between 830 and 9. I'd like a bit earlier but she only sleeps 9 hours so would wake earlier. Tho this week she has been in bed by 8 at the latest and I've had to wake her at 7 to get her ready!

Dominic goes to be at 7.00 and gets up around 6.30 - 7.00ish. It works for us because like Cathyg it gives me a chance toprepare and eat our dinner etc.
If you are happy with 9.00 - I wouldn't worry and stick to that, all babies are different, do whatever works for you.
