New cot death evidence

Did you see on the news this morning that new reaserch has said that a whopping 90% of young babies killed by cot death have mothers who smoke. How much longer before they outlaw smoking around babies and children? I foer one will support it, as this eveidence is quite complelling, beth xxxx

I hate to see people smoking around kiddies. My pet hate is when you see parents driving round smoking with their kids sat in the back. Arrgggghhh.

me too its absolutely disgusting. should be banned and the horrible things shouldnt even be made! yuk!

I can't believe parents still smoke around their children. I see them all the time pushing their pushchairs with a tab in their hand, smoke going straight in to the baby's face.

It is a disgusting habit I would do anything to protect Katlin and not hrm her which smokers do when they smoke round there los its cruel and unfair on them

ditto! only this morn when i was walking with Bradley to school the woman infront of me stopped her pushedchair to light one up! Filthy!

It really annoys me when people assume they can smoke infront of my kids as well, my FIL is terrible for it, well actually not him so much, my MIL says its ok without asking me! grrrrr!

well everyone knows only too well my opinion on smoking! To be honest though I don't actually know any mums who smoke, just other family members that sometimes don't think not to smoke around them.

I get so annoyed when I have to go through a cloud of smoke to exit a shop or something though! I upset a woman the other day when this happened, I stopped short of the doorway, left my husband standing with the pram in the shop and went over to the woman blocking the door smoking away, and told her to move her and her filthy habit out of the way please as I didn't want my child inhaling it. She threw it on the pavement (still lit!) and marched back into the shop!

My FIL smokes like a chimney as do most of his kids. And they get snotty with me for not taking harry round there!!
