the best advice i can offer is either to shop carefully, ie buy different things in different shops to save money (i am forever hopping between somerfields and lidl)

and also saw on a cooking programme once that often the cheapest cuts of meat are the tastiest because they are more fatty. u can always drain off any excess fat!

another option is to do your shopping online, that way u can budget better, altho obviously you have to pay for delivery.

Chin up tho hun, ull get by, we always manage to somehow.
Much love
xXx

I agree with the menu planning.

When I was being good, I had weekly menus made up for breakfast and dinner and then what sandwiches everyone else wanted to take to school for lunch, and then of course Noa's meals. I saved tons of money and didn't have all kinds of unused stuff lying around in the pantry. Gotta start doing that again-sighhhhh but am a bit lazy at the moment.

You need a lot less than you think you do if you shop for what you plan.

Also go with a specific list to shop and stick with it. And of course do not shop while you are hungry-bills way bigger that way!

(((HUGS)))

Hi,

I know it has been awhile since this thread went out, but just got an e-mail from netmums with ideas on making meals for you LO on a budget. The website might be worth a look.

P.s Haven't had time to look at it yet, so don't know how good it is.
