Default Midi-beds.

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has a midi bed for their LO. Bought one for James but realised it may be a tad dangerous for him and he is on the small side for it so Holly now has it by default (she is very pleased about that!).

The booklet mentions that bunk/midi beds (raised beds with a ladder to allow storage room underneath) should only be used for children who are 6 yrs and over. This wasn't on the website though.

Just wondered if anyone has one and what age your LO was when they first went in it.

Cheers

Kathryn

I would put isabella (4) in one now without any worries. Depends on the child really but she would be fine.

Georgia would be fine (4) but Theo not (2 nearly 3) as he falls out of any bed he has slept in

Is there much of a side to it, to stop a child falling out?

Matthew has been in the top bunk since he was 4, he's had no problems and even climbs in and out in the dark.

Hi,

Thanks for the responses. Holly is four and seems completely fine in it.....she's dreaming away as I type. James was trying to bounce on it and would have certainly come a cropper (he's 2 1/2). So what began as a new bed for James has turned into a complete bedroom swap. They both seem happy though and James is very pleased with his new Spiderman bedding!

I'd have no problem putting either of mine in a midi bed, Oliver has been in the top bunk since Christmas & he's never had any problems getting in & out. Sebastian is also quite capable of getting in & out of the top bunk with no problems now so he would cope with a midi bed.
